Eli Pariser is the guy who makes you realise that the algorithm is manipulating you - and that you may be living in a bubble without even realising it.
 

Born in 1980 in the United States, he is an internet activist and co-founder of Upworthy, a socially conscious viral content platform. But it was with ‘The Bubble Filter’ (2011) that he entered the debate on the impact of algorithms on information, showing how the internet personalises what we see so much that we end up trapped in a digital world tailor-made to confirm our opinions.
 

Basically, he unmasked Search Engines, Social Networks and the age of disinformation - and made everyone think twice before believing that they have an unbiased view of the world.
