J. K. Rowling

Writer, Screenwriter and Film Producer

J. K. Rowling

J.K. Rowling is living proof that a good cup of coffee and a boundless imagination can change the world. Born in 1965 in England, she went from an unknown writer to the creator of one of literature's most beloved universes: Harry Potter.

Before she rose to fame, she faced financial difficulties, wrote in cafés (because the heating in her house didn't help) and took several rejections from publishers before finally publishing The Philosopher's Stone in 1997.

The rest is history: millions of books sold, successful films and a legion of fans still waiting for the Hogwarts letter. But life after Potter also brought controversy - her opinions on social and gender issues generated heated debates.

Despite this, Rowling continues to write, whether expanding the wizarding universe or creating new mysteries as in the Cormoran Strike series. In the end, she proves that the magic of writing can transform not only characters, but also reality itself.
