PERSONAL GROWTH WITHOUT ILLUSIONS!
Augusto Cury
Professor, Psychiatrist and Writer

Augusto Cury is an author who seems to have earned an MBA in how to get inside people's minds — and he has written about it all. Born in 1958 in rural São Paulo, he began his career as a psychiatrist, but soon realised that his office was too small for such deep reflection.
So he became a writer and lecturer, creating the ‘Multifocal Intelligence Theory’ (yes, with a name and everything) to explain how we think, feel and... get in our own way. He took bookstores by storm with titles that mix psychology, philosophy and a generous dose of self-help. Today, with millions of books sold in dozens of countries, Cury remains the favourite literary therapist of those seeking to understand the mind — or at least tidy up their messy thoughts before going to sleep.
