Carl Gustav Jung

Psychiatrist, Psychotherapist and the ‘’Daddy‘’ of Analytical Psychology

UN4RTificial - Carl Gustav Jung.jpg

Carl Gustav Jung was one of the great names in psychology and the man who expanded the horizons of the human mind.

Born in 1875 in Switzerland, he began his career as a psychiatrist, but soon became a disciple of Freud - until they parted ways. Jung followed his own path and founded analytical psychology, bringing concepts such as archetypes, the collective unconscious and individuation.

As well as being a scientist, he had a mystical side and immersed himself in studies of mythology, alchemy and religions. His legacy can be found in works such as ‘Man and his Symbols’ and ‘Memories, Dreams, Reflections’, influencing areas ranging from therapy to pop culture. Self-knowledge? Jung has certainly been there!
